L-Reuteri Yogurt Recipe and its many Life-Changing Benefits

Here are Lactobacillus Reuteri's Amazing Benefits
- Oxytocin production for boosting mood and overall wellbeing. Helps burn cortisol
- Boosts Collagen Production
- Builds musculature in the body. Improves muscle growth, distribution and muscle tone
- Produces 3 Bacteriocins (natural antibiotics) to kill harmful bacteria that colonizes the body, especially the upper GI tract, where harmful bacteria can travel up from the colon and if you eat sugar and processed foods which also encourages them to move up. Harmful bacteria include E,.coli, salmonella, enterococcus, pseudomonas and many more.
- Great to treat SIBO (small intestinal bacterial overgrowth, caused by antibiotics or other ways)
How to make the yogurt.
Need a yogurt maker (100F for 36hrs) or instapot with temperature control (100F) and yogurt setting. This is the one I use https://amzn.to/4eaHBLN
Ingredients
1. 10 crushed tablets of BioGaia L Reuteri https://amzn.to/4kVoc3R
2. full fat Half n half (1 Quart) or boiled Whole Milk 1 Quart
3. 1 tbsp inulin or potato starch (feeds the bacteria after 24 hours of fermentation)
fermenting for 36 hours will cause the yogurt to have 100s of billions or trillions of beneficial bacteria in 1/2 a cup (daily recommended dosage)
Steps:
Prep: pour boiling water on the mixing utensils or wash them using the "sanitize" setting in the dishwasher.
1. Boil milk to 200F and mix in the inulin while hot (to sterilize both). Inulin helps make the yogurt creamy and leaves enough food for the Reuteri up to 36 hours. Here's what I use (Link), or potato starch (Link) if you are allergic to inulin.
2. once cooled to 100F, add crushed 10 tablets of BioGaia L Reuteri and mix it in (don't have to mix thoroughly)
3. I add more than a quart of the boiled milk mixture and fill in the 2 glass jars and put in the yogurt maker.
4. Set it at 100F and run for 36hrs. Once it is done, throw it in the fridge.
The yogurt is very mild and can be eaten as breakfast with fruit, etc. I eat it the Indian way with rice and a little salt to taste. You can add fruits and some honey for a delicious breakfast or even as a dessert!!!
Here's instructions from Dr. Michael Davis, who is a pioneer in research of probiotics. He uses half-n-half with no boiling. The issue is that you may get some separation of the whey and curds if done this way (it is not too bad). Using boiled whole milk instead, produces a super thick and creamy yogurt and no other random strains in there as they are killed off during the boiling phase.
